Day 1

Upon arrival in Wamena, transfer to the trekking start point. Enjoy simple meals and pack essentials like a sleeping bag, mat, and mosquito net. With minimal electricity, bring extra batteries or a portable charger. Accommodations are basic, typically in local schools or houses. Today’s trek spans approximately 4 hours before our first overnight stop.

Day 2-4

Over the next three days, embark on an unforgettable journey through the stunning landscapes of Baliem Valley. Prepare for breathtaking views and encounters with traditional highland tribes. Good physical fitness and a head for heights are essential. Expect 5-7 hours of trekking daily, navigating steep terrain, hanging bridges, and village gardens. Bring warm clothing for chilly evenings at high altitudes.

Day 5

Enjoy a well-deserved rest day in Syokosimo village. Immerse yourself in Dani culture and village life, gaining deeper insights into local traditions and customs.

Day 6

Conclude the trekking adventure with a trek to the endpoint before being transferred back to Wamena town by car, arriving late afternoon. Reward yourself with a comfortable hotel stay, complete with hot water and cozy beds.

Day 7
