Day overview

Day 1

Depart from Padang and journey to the village of Kayu Aro, immersing yourself in the scenic beauty of Sumatra's countryside. Settle into your accommodations for the night.

Day 2

Rise early to begin your ascent of Gunung Kerinci, traversing dense rainforests and rugged terrain. Trek for two days, navigating challenging trails, and camp overnight at Camp 3 at 3,320 meters under the stars.

Day 3

Continue your ascent to the summit of Gunung Kerinci, reaching its peak at 3,805 meters above sea level. Marvel at the panoramic vistas before descending back to Kayu Aro for a well-deserved rest.

Day 4

Depart early by car to the village of Lempur Tengah. Embark on a 3 to 4-hour trek to Danau Kaco, a hidden gem in the rainforest. Discover the pristine beauty of this tranquil lake before settling in for the night.

Day 5

Enjoy a morning swim in Danau Kaco before returning to Kayu Aro. Take a leisurely stroll through the picturesque village, engage with the friendly locals, and learn about their way of life. Depart for Padang in the early evening, arriving early morning.

Day 6
